Resilience Teams

A Resilience Team is a small group dedicated to developing a culture of resilience within their organizations. They apply training on soft and hard skills to protect their teammates, forming a crucial risk management structure for any organization that is exposed to occupational stress.

The idea arose from Laura McGladrey’s research at the START Center in Colorado, coupled with her partnership with response and rescue teams. It’s based in science, and many organizations have benefited from this model.

We support Resilience Teams in many industries, and are here as a resource for you, whether you’re just starting one or have been doing this work for years.

Resilience team support

A major goal of Responder Alliance is to support the creation and operation of Resilience Teams. Our Team Memberships are designed to help reduce duplicated work by giving a solid structure and direction to teams. This helps make sure you don’t find yourselves reinventing the wheel.

teams we work with

We work with industry leaders across the continent, and encourage collaboration between teams. This map highlights many of the orgs we’re working with to advance the conversation.

Teams with memberships are in gold, and teams following a more DIY model are in silver.

We encourage you to learn from other teams in our online community. By joining, you’ll have regular, structured opportunities to work with other teams doing similar work.
