Stress Injury Risk Management

For OUtdoor Professionals

Responder Alliance is the leading provider of Stress Resilience Training for outdoor professionals and first responders.

We provide training on tangible skills & tools to mitigate the risk of stress injury.

Stress exposure is inherent in the outdoor industry. From day to day stressors of consistently managing clients in the outdoors, to the impact of incidents and near misses, there is a high risk for burnout and traumatic stress injury, for both guides and clients. To best support stress injury risk management, Responder Alliance curriculum includes training in post-incident support and stress resilience. We offer two levels of training in each skillset:

  • Level 1 – individual skills for all field staff

  • Level 2 – organizational structure, for organization leadership, resilience teams, and peer/lateral support

We recommend all field staff receive Level 1 training as a universal precaution against burnout and traumatic stress injury.
